Convention 2009

The Cooper County Fire Fighters Association was able to attend the 2009 FFAM Convention in Warrenton Missouri with four members present. We had a great time this year and hope that many more will go to the Carney Fire Department next year to attend the 2010 Convention. Attending this year was Tom and Gina Loesing, Joey Simmons, Brandon Hicks and Ryan Reuter. While at the convention we where able to attend two classes one with Alan Brunacini of Phoenix Fire Department which was a great time we learned a lot. Alan is a wealth of information. We also attended the American Institute of Architecture. The Exhibits this year was very nice with a lot of good vendors. Saturday was the competition which was very fun to be a part of and watch these young men and women compete. Saturday night we attended the banquet "great food" and a lot of awards where given out to the winners of the competition. I would like to see many more members try to attend next years convention.

CCFFA BBQ

The Cooper County Fire Fighters held our annual Rib BBQ on May 16th it was a very nice warm day! We had great time spending some time with the District and there families. Hope that all the kid's had great time with the games. Also we had smokey the bear he can be to visit and was able to spend some special time with the young and older ones that where there. We would like to thank all the supporters on Saturday it was a great event. But with out you we would have not be so successful this year. I would also like to thank all the Cooper County Firefighter Association Members that took there time to help make this a great time for all of us. "Joey Simmons, Brandon Hicks, Jack West, Jessica Oerly, Chip, Ryan Ripp, Keith Rose, Tom Loseing, Susan Dewitt, James Oliver, Duff, Diana Thomas, Dave Gehm, and with out a doubt all the members families!!!  Thank you so much! And a big thank you to Dave's Country Market for allowing us to put on such a great event on there lot. Hope to see you all next time!!
