Parable
of the Mustard Seed |
We started tonight with a light supper prepared by the First Christian Church ladies at the Methodist Church. After supper we all formed a circle and created a web by throwing a ball of yarn back and forth. The person throwing the ball of yarn had to share a place they had found God. God had been found in a variety of places -- from our shirt pockets to Hawaii. God is Everywhere! The web creation was followed by Biblical Scriptures, a demonstration of how Christians can take advantage of the Internet, and singing favorite VBS songs. Then we divided into three groups and took turns assembling Personal Hygiene Kits for those in need; discussing what to share with the world on our web pages; and making telescopes from paper towel tubes (project from Wednesday night). The evening closed with song and prayers. We hope to have pictures to share with you soon. |

Bible Scripture time. He put before them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that someone took and sowed in his field; it is the smallest of all the seeds, but when it has grown it is the greatest of shrubs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches." |
